Dear DG,
I just broke up with my boyfriend and I’m just feeling mad shitty. I don’t know if it was something I did or how I am but it just wasn’t working out between us. I feel like lying in bed all day and doing nothing. I’m mad depressed and I just can’t shake this feeling off.
-Billy, CT
Dear Billy,
I know break-ups are horrible and I know what you’re going through. I’ve been through a break-up and it is the most awful feeling in the world. But look at it this way, at least there won’t be any fights and you can do whatever you want. For now just chill in single mode and get to know yourself a bit. The worst thing you can do is go immediately into another relationship without any break. Just relax a bit and clear your head.

Dear DG,
I honestly thought your blog was gonna be like the other ones – pointless, stupid, and full of hate gossip. But you’ve prove me wrong and I love your blog. Keep up the good work.

Dear DG,
My best friend is stuck on her ex-girlfriend and needs to get over her. She goes to the ends of the earth for her and yet her ex just takes it like it’s a play thing. My friend says that they’re only just “friends” and what not but I don’t think so. I want her to realize that her ex isn’t right for her and she needs move on. What can I do to make her realize what she’s doing wrong?
-Annabel, CA
Dear Annabel,
Even if the ex is wrong for her in so many ways, when you’re in “love” apparently it’s a lot harder to see any imperfection. If you tell her that she’s not good for her, your friend is either going to deny it or make it seem like you’re causing trouble. Unfortunately you have to let your friend find out the hard way. Once she sees what’s really going on, that’s when she’ll start believing you.
