Written by Lily Allen and Greg Kurstin, her fourth single is on her second album, It's Not me, It's You.

As the fourth single, "22" did fairly well when climbing up the charts. It landed on number 12 in the Australian Singles chart and on Irish Singles charts. The single became certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association.

"22" is about the realization of being stuck in a life that's going nowhere and her fairy tale dreams are crashing down. She learns that there won't be a prince charming to sweep her up her feet to a better life.

"It's sad but it's true how society says/her life is already over/there's nothing to do and there's nothing to say/till the man of her dreams comes along and picks her up and puts her over his shoulder/it seems so unlikely in this day and age..."

The melody to "22" has a nursery feel to it. It's as if it helps the message to be even more hilariously sad. When it comes to the lyrics, every other stanza rhymes so it has a nice flow to it when Allen sings. Vocally she doesn't do much when it comes to her vocal range but it suits well to the tone of the song.

Overall this song gets a rating of three out of five stars since it's a typical Lily Allen song full of laughably hilarious lyrics and a tongue and cheek like melody that ends up contradicting the song's serious message as a whole.
