My Life as a Rainbow: Turning 21*
Chapter 10:
Turning 21 is like an anniversary to me. It’s been five years since I’ve realized I was a lesbian. Also it’s been three years since I’ve came out of the closet. Sure I get my special perks for being 21 including drinking and going into clubs but that’s not all.
To me as a rainbow, being 21 means even though I am still learning about being a lesbian, I’ve grown and learned a lot about myself ever since I came out. I’m grateful for being alive after I went through all of the gay bashing I had to endure from my family.
Of course since I’ve made it this far, I’m not saying that I know everything. I mean as far as I’m concerned people learn and keep learning about themselves up until the day they die.
My goal is to meet my rainbow brothers and sisters and I want to keep on giving my full support to the LGBT community. I want to be there for them just like my rainbow family was there for me.
I’m thankful for meeting other rainbows on Facebook and I’m also very grateful and thankful and uber happy to meet and get to know Samantha – the most beautiful and kick ass woman I will ever love.
I honestly can’t believe this is the tenth chapter of the MLAAR series and I do hope I can continue to keep on writing them well into the future.
To all the baby dykes and dykes on training, feel free to hit me up if you need someone to listen to or a shoulder to cry on. Through this journey of rainbow self actualization, no one should go through it alone.
