"2-1" or formerly known as "Polyfilla" is sing by Imogen Heap. The track "2-1" is in her fourth album "Ellipse" and it was featured in "The Lovely Bones" soundtrack.

This song is pretty interesting to listen to with it's multiple meanings and a fantastic melody that draws the listener in. The song starts off melodically slow as it's setting up the stage for the intensity of the instruments later on in the song. If the sounds won't attract you, then Heap's soothing vocals will. Heap;'s vocals and the music together is a perfect match for a hauntingly beautiful melody.

With Heap's lyrical ability, she tends to have multiple different meanings within her song. In this case, "2-1" could possibly be about the age of scientific enlightenment:

"First the earth was flat/But it fattened up when we didn't fall off/Now we spin laps 'round the sun/All the gods lost 2-1/A host from heaven pointed out to us/From light years away/We're surrounded by a billion galaxies."

Heap's writing skills in this song are really amazing. Simplicity is not Heap's style as she fills this song with metaphorical lyrics and symbolism.

"2-1" is a powerful song lyrically and vocally. This song rated five out of five stars since it truly is one of Imogen Heap's master pieces.
