Written by Vanessa Carlton, "Afterglow" is on her second album, Harmonium.

"Afterglow" is about having this inner glow that helps you to be free and care free.

"And if you could see what's come over me/then you would know/cause I'm walking free, the wind at my back/bathed in afterglow..."

With the sounds of instruments in the song, it helps the tune to have a content atmosphere. The verses and chorus are quick and short but the lyrics still has some depth in them. Carlton's vocals are good as it helps to lighten up the mood of the song.

This song gets a rating of three and a half out of five stars. The instruments have good sound, the lyrics are nice and Carlton's vocals make "Afterglow" cheerful to listen to.
